Love on a Motorcycle, 2013

After a family photo shoot and a few engagement photos for my friend Jeff and his then-fiancee Allison, we decided to get creative. In this case, "creative" meant me hanging out the back of a Ford SUV at 65mph with my telephoto. Of course, compared to the adventures these two world-hopping travelers have had since, my high-speed shoot barely measures up.

I've known my friend Steve since we were four years old, and around the time I took this shot, I'd known his wife Sarah for about sixteen years. In a way, that longtime friendship makes me appreciate this image of the two of them, taken as the sun streamed over a gorgeous field in North Salt Lake, just a little more than otherwise.
