On the way to a traditional Christmas dinner with friends and family in December 2014, I made a quick stop to get a few long exposures of the nativity scene in front of the Salt Lake Temple, and came away with maybe the best shot I've ever taken on Temple Square. When people ask me my favorite color, this particular blue is what usually springs to mind.
In the spring of 2015, I hiked out to the shore of the Great Salt Lake with a young model named Megan, and started taking a few shots around sunset. Out of numerous quality images, I still love how this one features that little element of good fortune, adding a few seagulls to the composition at just the right moment.
