Brewer Battles, 2009

In the winter/spring of 2009, I got a rare opportunity to sit on the baseline and photograph a Utah Jazz game. Thanks to a rented f/2.8 70-200IS telephoto, I was able to shoot across the court and get this image of former Jazz guard/forward Ronnie Brewer going up for a shot against a pair of Charlotte Bobcats.

Behind the Action, 2013

I captured hundreds of "action-packed" images from the Monster Energy Supercross event at Rice-Eccles Stadium in the spring of 2013, but the one that always catches my attention whenever I pass through the set is this behind-the-scenes image of a rider who just finished a heat. I honestly have no clue if he won, lost, qualified, or even finished his race. In fact, it might be the anonymity of the whole thing that makes me like the image so much.
