My old boss at KJZZ used to say that the Utah Jazz were one of the few things that could truly bring people together in the Beehive State, and as contentious as 2017 was, the August eclipse seemed to do the same thing for practically the whole country. We were far from totality at my sister's place in Kaysville, but we still had a good time getting together with the neighbors, and as usual, the pictures of people enjoying the thing were as good or better than the thing itself.
After having such a great time at the Layton Tepanyaki with my family just before Christmas 2016, I vowed to bring my camera if we returned in 2017. We did, and I did.
